Balance

Minerals arriving where they belong. Systems held in proportion. Less dramatic than energy, and considerably more consequential over twenty years.

It is easy to think of your skeleton as finished — built by your mid-twenties, then just there. It is not. Bone is living tissue, continuously broken down and rebuilt, and how well that rebuilding goes depends on whether the raw materials are available and whether they end up in the right place.

Calcium is the raw material. Vitamin D is what lets you absorb it. Vitamin K2 is what directs it into bone rather than leaving it in circulation. Three steps, and most people are short at the first one.

And the honest bit. Vitamin D status is measured, not felt. If you want to know your own level, ask your doctor about a 25(OH)D test — it will tell you something no website can.

The biology. Vitamin D3 increases intestinal absorption of calcium. Vitamin K2 activates osteocalcin and matrix Gla protein, which between them direct calcium into the bone matrix. Take one without the other and the pathway is incomplete.
