Anyone can put berberine in a capsule.
The question that decides whether it does anything is how much of it your body can actually take up. Berberine barely dissolves in water, so most of a conventional dose never becomes available. That single limitation is what this formulation is built to solve.
Free berberine dissolves poorly in water. Particles clump together and settle out, and limited dissolution means limited absorption. You can put a large number on the label and still deliver very little.
That is a delivery problem, and delivery is the second of our three basics — so it is exactly the kind of problem we take on.
Cyclodextrin is a ring-shaped sugar molecule — water-loving on the outside, water-repelling in the cavity at its centre. Berberine tucks into that cavity, and the whole assembly then behaves in water the way the cyclodextrin does: it disperses uniformly and stays in solution.
A precision that matters: this is molecular encapsulation in a cyclodextrin cavity. It is not a phytosome, and we do not describe it as one.
