Capsule · berberine as a cyclodextrin inclusion complex

Anyone can put berberine in a capsule.

The question that decides whether it does anything is how much of it your body can actually take up. Berberine barely dissolves in water, so most of a conventional dose never becomes available. That single limitation is what this formulation is built to solve.

This product is not on sale yet. The formulation is filed and in the approvals process. We would rather show you what we are working on than pretend the range is bigger than it is. Leave your details and we will tell you when it is ready — nothing else.

The berberine problem

One of the most studied botanicals in metabolic health. Also one of the hardest to formulate.

Free berberine dissolves poorly in water. Particles clump together and settle out, and limited dissolution means limited absorption. You can put a large number on the label and still deliver very little.

That is a delivery problem, and delivery is the second of our three basics — so it is exactly the kind of problem we take on.

Our answer: an inclusion complex

Cyclodextrin is a ring-shaped sugar molecule — water-loving on the outside, water-repelling in the cavity at its centre. Berberine tucks into that cavity, and the whole assembly then behaves in water the way the cyclodextrin does: it disperses uniformly and stays in solution.

Free berberine settles out; the inclusion complex stays dispersed

A precision that matters: this is molecular encapsulation in a cyclodextrin cavity. It is not a phytosome, and we do not describe it as one.

The formulation

Built around the complex, not instead of it.

The inclusion complex is the technology. These are the actives it sits alongside, each chosen for a distinct role.

Lead active

Berberine

Berberis aristata root, as a cyclodextrin inclusion complex

The most-researched botanical in this category — and the one whose real-world performance depends most on how it is formulated.

Cordyceps

Ophiocordyceps sinensis

Supports mitochondrial function and cellular energy metabolism — the same energy machinery that glucose feeds into.

Gymnema

Gymnema sylvestre

Traditionally called the "sugar destroyer"; supports glucose metabolism and helps curb sweet cravings.

Bitter melon

Momordica charantia

Traditionally used to support efficient utilisation of sugar by the body's cells.

Banaba leaf

Lagerstroemia speciosa

Supports healthy insulin function and glucose utilisation.

Chromium, piperine and more

With milk thistle and mulberry leaf

Chromium picolinate is an essential trace mineral supporting insulin activity and carbohydrate metabolism. Piperine improves uptake of the botanical actives alongside it.

Full quantitative ingredient panel and Statement of Ingredients will be published here on launch, and will match the pack. Health supplement — not for medicinal use.
